Kristine + Mark
Before Christmas my beautiful friend Kristine mentioned she would love to do a cool photoshoot of her and her husband Mark as a five year wedding anniversary gift. I though it was fabulous gift idea. Kristine and Mark love to entertain, are passionate about food and drink, and Kristine loves the whole Mad Men trend. So we decided to do a stylized lifestyle session bringing in all those elements. Now a catch to the shoot was that Kristine wanted it to be a surprise for Mark so we decided to orchestrate a plan that I needed models for a shoot for a lifestyle magazine as they wanted real people for the shoot. The next challenge was to find a perfect location, and I have to send a big thank you to the Musgrave's for allowing us to shoot in their gorgeous home as it was the absolute perfect setting. We had a great time with the photoshoot and Mark was such a great sport as Kristine had mentioned he isn't big on photoshoots!
I heard from Kristine after their anniversary in December and she said Mark loved the photos and loved it as a gift which totally made my day :) They are such a great couple; five years later and they are still so in love and it was so wonderful that I was able commemorate such a special occasion for them.
Congratulations Kristine and Mark on five years and here's wishing you both many more years of happiness! xoxo
Rouge-Noir
A while back I once again collaborated with the fabulous Ange from Kenneth Blair in Lloydminster for another fun editorial photoshoot. We decided to have some fun with this and go with a burlesque theme which we subsequently titled Rouge-Noir. As was to be expected the models, Haley, Karlee, & Taylor, were fabulous and totally got into character which made it all the more fabulous to photograph them! The shoot was definitely a great time and since the beautiful Taylor is also a wonderful dancer we ended the shoot with some fun shots of her doing some ballet moves :)
Here are the favorite photos from Rouge-Noir :)
Thanks again ladies, it was great working with all of you!

Ashley + Josh | Married
This past fall one of my closest friends Josh married his love, the very beautiful, Ashley. Their wedding took place at the very gorgeous Greystone Gardens out in Spruce Grove and the location couldn't have been more awesome. Out in the country with beautiful trees, a quaint bridge, and a very cool old garage, plus with a lot of open space we were able to park the amazing old school car in the area for some super fun photos. A little rain for good luck even fell during the ceremony and photos but never once did it ruin the moment or fun times! I had such a great time photographing Josh and Ashley's wedding, right from the beginning at Josh's parent's house while the boys got all handsome to the reception where the bride and groom danced and partied the night away.
Here are some of my favorites photos from Josh + Ashley's gorgeous wedding :)

Health Foundation Lifestyle Sessions
Back in the fall I ran a promotion to help raise money for the Lloydminster Region Health Foundation (LRHF) by donation the session fees from family lifestyle sessions. I had a great time with this and got to photograph some awesome families. Below I have posted some of my favorites from the lifestyle sessions, check them out!
Also, a big thank you to the wonderful families as $800 was donated to such a wonderful foundation that does so much for my home town of Lloydminster :)

Echo + Shay | Engaged
Well I am back after a very busy but wonderful Christmas season and after my family's annual Lake Louise New Years Trip, which was as always fabulous!
I decided to start this year's first blog with one of my most favorite engagement sessions of last fall (yes it appears I am still playing catch up with posts, but better late than never ;)). My beautiful friend Echo got engaged last fall to the ever handsome Shay. Seriously, these two are gorgeous! They met at a church function and as Shay says it was love at first sight and he knew the moment he met her, he would marry her, yeah I kind of melted when he told me this! After months of dating Shay took Echo on a drive in the rain and pulled over by the river and in his hand was a box of shoes that she had been eyeing. Echo opened the box only to find a beautiful ring that Shay designed for her on the heel of one of the shoes and right there in the rain he got on one knee and proposed! Well we all know her answer and I was so excited when they booked me to be their wedding photographer!
First up was the engagement session, we drove out to Echo's parent's place North of Lloydminster and wow was the landscape in the countryside every beauitful. They are not far from the river valley and as you will see the area was so fantastic for photos. I had so much fun photographing these two, they are so in love that it seriously makes my job so easy! Echo being a true county girl even took off her heels to walk in bare feet across a ridge to this perfect spot with one lone tree, it was farther than we realized but definitely worth the walk!
Here are some of my favorites from the session. I cannot wait to photograph Echo and Shay's winter wedding this February, you both are so fabulous!

Tari-Lynn + Randy
Tari-Lynn + Randy were married on a beautiful day in August, the sun was shining, it was warm (this was actually rare this summer), the bride was stunning, really what more could you ask for. Tari-Lynn and Randy met one night while both were out at a local bar. Tari-Lynn did not want to go out that night after her work Christmas party but a co-worker, Christine, pushed her to come and well it's funny how things work out as she met Randy because of it. They are such a great couple, so kind, so in love, it was a great time photographing them! I must say they also had one of the most fun bridal parties I have photographed. I posted more photos from the reception as the bridal party definitely knew how to have a good time, there was even a split-off between two of the groomsmen! Anyways, please check out some of my favorite photos from Tari-Lynn + Randy's wedding below :)
Congratulations Tari-Lynn + Randy - I wish you both so much happiness! :)

The Krauss Family
I photographed the Krauss family this summer at their family cabin at Loon Lake, Saskatchewan. While the day did not start out perfectly with the clouds, wind, and slight rain it couldn't have turned out any better for photos! I had so much fun photographing this family, I have gotten to know Katherine well this past year as we are both part of the local triathlon club but feel as though I got to know her family so much more from getting to photograph them. There is so much love between them and it was great to all the personalities of the kids shine through in the photographs, especially the little ones as they are only going to be that age once and I love that I was able to capture some of that childhood magic and innocence for Katherine.
Here are some of my favorites from the session below, enjoy :)

Cailin + John | Engaged
Cailin and John met while both students attending Concordia University and last spring while on vacation in Mexico John proposed to Cailin. I was very excited when I met with them about their wedding and became their photographer for their wedding and engagement photos. I have actually known John for a very long time as I grew up and am very close friends with his older sister. I love when I get to photograph people I know, there is already a level of comfort with each other and it's always to see people I know so happy!
Cailin and John are such a gorgeous couple, and they are so happy together and in love that it was such a great time photographing their engagement session. The day was gorgeous, and I loved the location! You can't go wrong along the paths by the Shaw Conference Centre and Louise McKinney Park. Here are some of my favorites from their session :)
Congratulations Cailin and John! I can't wait to photograph your wedding next August :)

Nancy + Dustin | Married!
Nancy + Dustin were married on such a gorgeous August day! I love that they decided to do the first look and saw each other before the ceremony and had their photos all taken beforehand as well. I love love first looks, they almost always make me tear up as there is something so sweet about seeing the groom's face when he sees his bride for the first time all dolled up and can actually express himself as it is just the two of them, well and me but I like to pretend I am somewhat invisible at these moments ;)
Anyways, here are some of my favorites from their day, enjoy :)
