Chelsey & Travis

in

Chelsey and Travis were married on July 31st and the day could not have been more perfect, the sun was shining and it was warm but not crazy hot, and the mosquitos even got very well fed, well ok that last one might not be a positive but when mosquitos are the only negative it's a good day!

Chelsey met Travis when she move to Lloydminster and began working for his father's restoration company. The story I heard was that a crush was almost immediately developed by Travis and well as the story usually goes the rest is history ;)

A Personal Pre-New Years Resolution

This blog post stems from a conversation I had with a close friend about how much I admire those who are able to put themselves out there in a sense in their blogs. What I mean is how they choose to open up to their readers who they are, their opinions, how they feel, etc. It's something I've always wanted to be able to do but totally scared about it, as by opening up more about myself I open myself up to also be judged, which let's not lie is very frightening! Well I'm trying to turn over a new leaf personally, what this means is I'm opening myself up to do things that totally scare me.

Jeanie Andonyk

in

It had been a long time since I had done a beauty photo session and collaborated with my gorgeous friend Jacqueline Laine, who is probably one of the most talented make-up artists I know. So it was definitely time to put a session together, and who better to model than my other beautiful friend, Jeanie Andronyk. It took us two days to shoot the five looks as we only had mornings that worked with our schedules but it was worth it.

My Baba's 90th Birthday

Recently my baba, (Ukrainian for grandma in case you were wondering ;)), celebrated a huge milestone; her 90th birthday! Of course we could not let this event pass without a small celebration. So with my aunt and uncle in town from BC we thought we would try to get some other family together for small dinner and of course cake at a local restaurant. It was such a great time, great to visit and see some familiar faces that I don't see often.

Caitlin

Sweet Caitlin was my last grad of the year having chose to have her session a few days after grad. Caitlin was so much fun, she wanted the session taken at her acreage, and I must say what a gorgeous yard! There were so many different places and spaces to use; and I loved their old tree house. Caitlin was telling me how when her and her sister were young they used play up there all the time and would even sleep under the stars in their tree house; so of course I definitely made use of this tree house.

Lloydminster Region Health Foundation

Once again this year the Lloydminster Region Health Foundation (LRHF) inquired if I would be interested in donating my time to photograph some amazing local individuals for their annual report. Of course I jumped at the opportunity, these people do so much for the community yet they often go unrecognized and I loved that the LRHF would be doing stories about them and their generosity. Instead of trying to regurgitate their stories I posted the articles that were published so that you guys can read all about these amazing people.

Keeley

Keeley, yet another beautiful grad with probably one of the most amazing "grad" cars I've ever seen. Through family connections they were able to rent this incredible lamborghini for the day. Now normally when a studio session is booked it usually solely takes place in the studio but when I saw this car I had to suggest we take a few outside with it; couldn't pass up this opportunity for me and for Keeley and of course she was up for more photos! Well I have posted some from both the studio and outside with the car, check em out. This girl is stunning!

Brittany

This post is short and sweet and all about beautiful Brittany! What can I say it was another amazing grad session; sometimes having the session on grad day can become stressful as there is so much going on, but that was definitely not the case with Brittany. She was just enjoying every moment of this special day, which was great because grad day as I remember was over so fast. I had a great time photographing Brittany, as her hair was partially down and her dress had such an etherealness about it I had to bring out the fan for a few shots.

Kristopher

I definitely do not photograph near as many guys as I do girls when it comes to senior/graduation portraits. And to be honest most of the guys are really there to please their moms and don't really get into the session. Kristopher was totally the opposite, he wanted something fun, cool, and different so when I suggested we go out to my father's farm and do the session using my grandfather's old house he was all over it!
